Nuvi 200w Thai Or Us Model

Featured Replies

Hi I just wonder if someone have the Thai version of the 200W and could tell me about the keyboard for Thai. I know you can make your own keyboard with Thai for the 200W, but then you will have 2 keyboards to switch between. How is this on the Thai version, will you have 2 keyboards here to or just 1, don't really see how it can be only one as there are so many characters in Thai so I don't see how they would all fit in on one page.

I have a US version of Garim C330 with the esri V8 map, all english as you would expect and works great

What kind of map is on that unit? Since ESRI charges 7,000 baht for just the map, it's not likely to be an ESRI map. They want 12,700 for a Nuvi 200. That's exactly the same price Gadget Trend has.

Has anyone bought one of these units?

Its the 'powermap g10' thai maps..

I have since found that theres cracks and keygens for the ERSI maps for garmin units.. I was curious if the Garmin map can be exported to the WinCE format using cGPSMapper or other conversion tools.

I have also read on a GPS mapping forum that the rottwieller maps are the early ESRI v7 maps that have been stolen and simply had the copyright notice changed. If true the 100 USD 'donation' for those starts to really be a bit shady.

Apparently the ESRI maps are hard to crack because Rotweiler's don't work as well as the ESRI. Points of interest are identical for most places. My 2610 doesn't work well at all with Rotweiler but works great with ESRI. The eTrex works well enough to use. I do wish that the ESRI map could be used on my computer. I can use the Rotweiler maps on my computers.

Thats because rotwiellers have been locked by the less strict cGPSMapper Pro application. Someone also broke down reasoning why the Rottwieller maps didnt route search with some Garmin units, and it was something to do with how the ERSI map had been recomplied.

If I have time I will see if I can export the ERSI map v8 I DL'ed and make a computer readable one.. If I can how will let you know what steps so you can do it with your legal version. Theres lots of tools and converters out there now.

It would be great to be able to have the same map on my GPS and my computer. It's odd that when I transfer a route from my computer to my GPS or vice versa, either will automatically recalculate the route.
