Hi- I'm coming back to. Thailand next month, bringing cash, and need a bank that lets you open an account with a Tourist visa only. I might be transferring money from the US as well, so I need a bank that doesn't charge outrageous fees. I know you've all heard this one before. Help Please!

I second Kasikorn.

A mate of mine opened an account with them on a Saturday morning at the branch in Royal Garden Plaza, 30 day stamp in his passport and no letter from Immigration required.

BUT different branches may have different rules.

Got my bank account with Siam commercial bank in Pattaya in December with a 30 day stamp on arrival, no problems - no questions asked. Did have a thai address to give which may have helped but wasn't asked for any proof.
