I'm flying with economy-class with Etihad this weekend. I believe the official carry-on luggage allowance is just one bag; does that include a laptop, or can the laptop be carried separately in its own carry-case? Thanks in advance.

if you are flying from bangkok than there can be more than 1 hand luggage (if they are not too bulky), the problem might be in the interchanging airport. Each airport security has it's own policies on that matter

Usually its one carryon and a personal item such as notebook, purse ect.

Thanks for the replies. I'm waiting at the departure gate at the very moment. Looking at what some other people are carrying, seems like they aren't fussy at all.
