dennis13
hi guy's, i'm belgium 27 years on the moment living in thailand on tourist visa's. i get around 40.000bath a month on my belgium bank account and i'm spending it almost all iff not all here in thailand. i'm not good with numbers, but still i see i have to pay a reasonable price to take my money from the ATM machines here in thailand. if i should transfer say about 500.000 bath a year to a thai bank, and then live here of on that. and let my 40.000 bath a month save itself up in belgium. is this worth the trouble, or should i just keep lying back, and enjoy my well-being. PS. can i do this and if so, use the ATM then to take money off the thai bank account. thnx grtz dennis

Zeid
as far as i know you will need to have a non-imigrant visa to open a thai bank account though a friend of mine in chiang mai has once opend a bank account with a tourist visa.
