Following my thread about purchasing aluminium tubing in Phuket, I have another requirement. That is to purchase a piece of solid fibreglass rod/dowel, about 12 inches in length and about 1 inch in diameter. I have absolutely no idea where I might find such an item in Phuket, so am wlecome to any suggestions!

Actually, it's for the very boring purpose of connecting 2 antenna rods. Fibreglass rod is both very strong and a good insulator, (which is maybe why it's also used to make dildos...)

Actually, I guessed that, we used similar for long whip aerials. So simple and hassle free, easy dismantling when moving to anothe spot.

I could not resist, "A 12 inch rod" .......... .........
