What Isp At Phuket

Featured Replies

I moved to Thailand/Phuket a few weeks ago. Could someone tell me what is the best way to get a high speed internet access for privat use. I'll get a phone line from TT&T. They also gave me a nice sheet of paper with prices up to 12000 THB a month for 1mbps (with KSC?). Sounds like a joke to me. There also seems to be a difference between 1:5, 1:20, 1:50. What does it means? In Germany I had 1mbps and this was OK.

PLEASE HELP!!

Alan

hi Alain,

yes, you’re right, ADSL in Phuket is a joke!

The number 1:xx means you share the line with other user.

Don’t compare 1Mbps with Europe!

I'm tested different ADSL and bidirectional Satellite connections, nothing is “Hi-Speed”.

If you have a good Phone-Line, it’s the most economic way to connect the Internet, except you will be 24 hours online.

Test Page: www.numion.com (world wide)

With my Dialup-Connection (Loxinfo, Procom) 52 Kbps average 30 kbps

ADSL (different provider and baggage, TOT, TT&T) 30 up to maximum 120 kbps.
