Windows Vista Home

Featured Replies

Where is the folder that has the emails filed and the folder for addresses. I need to copy them to a thumb drive. Can it be accessed through explorer?

Not on a Vista machine presently but assuming you mean Windows Mail then the default location is c:\users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

There are tools within Vista for backing up this data.

Mail

Tools ->Options ->Advanced ->Maintenance->Store Folder {highlight the file location then Ctrl+C}

Close Windows Mail

Then use Run -> Search to find the file {Ctrl+v} and use Organise options to copy it to new location

Contacts

File -> Export -> CSV {usually}
