Is the 1 day overstay fee still waived at the airport ?

Had one guest who left last week with one day overstay. No fee - but "got the stamp".

can "the stamp" make it harder to get a visa after ?

Right now, probably not, but with changes going into the works all the time and a general tightening up of the visa rules, it definitely will not help.

Neither myself, nor my girlfriend were stamped last May on 1-day overstay.
