The K-Lite codec pack has the codecs for playing FLV files.

I use the inclued version of Media Player classic as I do not think VLC is a mature enough player yet

Why not have a standard right-click in ie7 or firefox to save or convert them

as a one-stop down-loader and converter. I convert to MP4 (PSP, iTouch/pod) and AVI (PC/DVD).

Also supports batch downloading and converting.
