Xbox Live In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I moved to Bangkok about 3 months ago and brought my xbox360 with me. In the time it took to get hooked up (about 2 months) I found out that my US gamertag had expired. Should be no problem, right? Just renew it..

Well, I found out that you are not able to change the country of an existing gamertag.. so I have to pay with a US credit card or I am out of luck. Problem is, I moved all my banking out of the US so can't do that.

I figured there was nothing else to do but create a new gamertag and just make it from thailand and pay with my local card.. wrong again --- Thailand is not an Xbox Live "Locale". Closest countries are Singapore and Hong Kong.

So the question is, how can I sign up for a new account here? It is really annoying and I just want to get back online and play with my friends online.

I can't believe Microsoft is so inflexible like this.. no wonder all the xbox consoles in Thailand are chipped.. if you can't properly get online anyway, why try to be honest???

I live in Thailand and registered with a Thai credit card. I gave my location as being Singapore. Can't remember if it asked for an actual address, but if it did I will have taken one off the web. Worked fine, seems like they don't link credit card source with the country address.
