Non Immigrant O Multi Entry In Melbourne

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

friend of mine has invited me to visit him to Melbourne, Australia, so I'm planning a trip, I was wondering if any of you got a good/bad experience to the Thai Consulate in question, specifically I would love to know if they are issuing Non Immigrant O Multi-entry to who's married to a Thai spouse and if the list of documents is the usual one.

Thanks in advance for any info you would share.

Hi... you were perfectly right, they are super kind at the Thai Consulate in St. Kilda Road, it took just five minutes to deliver paperwork and passport, and 20 seconds to collect it the next day...

Non Immigrant O Multiple-Entries, 225 AUD:

1. Application Form, 1 copy;

2. Thai Marriage Certificate, 1 copy;

3. Thai Birth Certificate of my daughter, 1 copy;

4. Tabian Baan (house registration), 1 copy;

5. 2 photographs passport size;

6. My wife's letter of request for a Non Immigrant O Multiple Visa in order me to be able to support her and our daughter (facultative but appreciated);

7. Copy of my wife's Thai Passport (I've chosen this instead of the Thai ID card).

That's it, easy and smooth as silk!

PS: I passed trough Geelong on my way to Apollo bay... nice place, great country!

oh is it still the case now? Still friendly? I want to apply for a non-immigrant 0 based on visiting my girlfriend...

Thanks!

You better get a note form your girlfriend, together with a copy of her ID, asking for a visa for you. Consulates are getting stricter and might want to see proof of a friend in Thailand

If Melbourne will issue such a visa to visit a GF it will likely be the first time - have never seen any report of them doing so.

Perth or Brisbane are known to issue, but you will need signed copy of gf ID card/passport plus letter as Mario says.

Tabian Baan (house registration), 1 copy;

Was that an absolute requirement?

If so, is that just a quirk of Melbourne -- or do others also require that of spouses with Thai wives?

Most consulates in the Asia area now seem to require a copy of home register and ID card along with the marriage certificate when requesting non immigrant O visa to visit spouse. But in OZ it may still be a quirk.

Melbourne do not require the house registration, but they do require the letter (#6 in OP's list). The more documents you can supply the better though.

oh so you confirm they still deliver non-immigrant O visas based on visiting Girlfriend?

Anyone would have an example of that letter she should write?

Thanks everyone :)

Mussen is not confirming melbourne still gives non-O multiple based on visiting friends, he is talking about based on a Thai wife.

You are well advised to try Perth or Brisbane instead.

The letter is just a letter asking for a visa for you, stating your name etc and with a copy of her ID.

Can anyone help me , I really need to outline the letter of request to the misses she understands what i need but like i she is totally unsure what she should write in this letter could someone offer some outlines and or copy of a successful one so we can make sure we cross the Ts and Dot the Is to save any dramas ! She is still only my Fiancee but the main reason for the non O application is to marry . One final Question what is the minimum i need to have sitting in the bank to prove i have enough to survive ??

Regards
