chevykanteve
Bangkok Post -- partial copy Police widen investigation of Burmese deaths (BangkokPost.com) – The Anti-Money Laundering Organisation (Amlo) and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will expand their investigation into a case of human trafficking which led to the mass suffocation of 54 Burmese immigrants. Authorities will on Friday question the owner of Choke Charoenchai Company, Jirawat Sophapanwarakul, who owns the truck in which the immigrants were found. Police have now questioned......... My humble advance prediction of the outcome:at least one underling will be arrested; the owner of the company may also be arrested but, if so, a lack-of-evidence jurisprudential decision will save him. AMLO will not collect any money of consequence from the JAO POR (local Ch. Godfather) who is ultimately involved, and, finally, there will be no further followup newspaper coverage of this event in another two weeks or so. JetsetBkk
Authorities will on Friday question the owner of Choke Charoenchai Company, Jirawat Sophapanwarakul, who owns the truck in which the immigrants were found. I bet Khun Sophapanwarakul wishes there was a Thai bank note of greater denomination than 1,000 baht. Those envelopes stuffed with cash aren't easy to conceal.
