Renewing A Thai Driving License

Featured Replies

I found some threads in the forum about renewing a Thai license but they didn't answer my question so I hope someone can help.

My Thai wife passed her test and obtained her 1 year Thai driving license in 2006. We subsequently returned to Europe and as we're not planning to return to Thailand until later this year I wanted to know if she could still take her expired 1yr license and request a 5 year license without having to take the tests again.

We had originally planned to return to Tailand in 2007 to allow her to get her 5 year license but unfortunately life and finances got in the way.

Although there are a few answers around they mostly concern recently expired licenses besides which there are probably different rules between an expired 1 year and and an expired 5 year license.

Anyone can help with some advise would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

She should be able to get her 5yr. Just go down to reg. office and bring in old lic.
