I have renewed my ext in Bangkok on the last 3 occasions, we now live about halfway between Bangkok and Huahin, due to the now hideous traffic etc and my wife recoverimg from recent surgery it would be much more convenient for us to renew the visa extension in Huahin, and enjoy a good seafood meal and a leisurly trip home, does anyone know if this is possible? or is it a requirement that it is done where your record's are kept. That should not be a problem.

You application will be sent to Bangkok anyway.

Do not believe you can change until copy of your records are transferred to the local office so you may have an extra trip. Perhaps best to do in Bangkok and ask them to send records to HuaHin for next year.

I changed from Samui to Korat without transferring anything.

Last year they started a decentralization of records so not sure it would work today - also this is from Hqs to a field location. I know from current reports that airport can not process applications without transfer from Hqs so expect other locations may also be restricted. As his intent is to save a trip would not want him to find out later that he has added one.

Have tried to phone Huahin and Bangkok and been unable to connect with either, my thank's to you, all maybe I should endure Bangkok again and ask them if I can go to Huahin next year.
