Fabric Paint - Flexible - Uv Resistant....

Looking for any suggestions or pointers for an easy to apply paint (spray can springs to mind but hand brushing would not be a problem) in a selection of basic colors that I can use to brighten up a sheet of material similar to a bed sheet that is exposed to the sun all day. I would like to have something UV stable and non water soluble.

My objective is to color the fabric that I have rather than to create a sun sheild by using other materials or screens.

I think normal car spray paint would be fine on the UV protection factor - but would crack off with movement in the wind. Likewise gloss based paints again would crack and fall away.

I've not experimented yet but sat and pondered about using TOA 'PolyVinyl Acetate' adhesive latex watered down with an emulsion based paint in my target colors. When I have used this idea on painted concrete it has remained water resistant enough for use outside.

All suggestions welcomed.
