okay firstly outlook and outlook express are 2 different programs.. if it is outlook express then its a bit of a problem and you can only save each email individualy and to do that then you open the email then file save as and save them all to your stick,,

If on the other hand its full blown outlook then it is no problem..Outlook saves the emails in file called a pst file and that is save at %appdata%\local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst ( if it is not their for you then then do a search for *.pst ) copy the pst onto your memory stick then go to the other machine and then open outlook then file open outlook data file then point it to your memory stick then hey presto all your emails will be their. if you are using full outlook then you can just leave the pst on your memory stick saves you keep copying to and fro..

hope this helps

You can do that. First at all you need to change some settings for to find the datafile. here is how to go:

1. open Windows Explorer

2. click on Tools

3. click on Folder Options

4. click on Viw

5. check Show Hidden File and Folders

6. uncheck Hide protcted operating system file (Recommended)

7. Click OK

Now, still in Windows Explorer, take a look at the picture but remember to go to your account instead of Administrator if you use an different name:

oe1.jpg

Now you see the .DBX files. Copy the files Inbox.DBX and Sent Items.dbx to your USB Stick and you're ready to import to an other computer on Outlook Express. You need to use the Import Function from the File Menu.

Cheers.

Theres far more qualified people on here than me, but this is what I do. Have both your home and office computers set up (as it sounds they are) to recieve your mail through outlook/express. Now if you want all information on both computers, simply put a tick in the box, 'leave a copy of the message on the server'

Below is the process for outlook.

Tools>account settings>Double click your email account>Internet email accounts, more settings>advanced and tick the box at the bottom 'leave a copy on the server.

This will enable both your computers to download your mail. Hope it makes sense and helps.

If a friend locally asked me to do this I would simply install Portable Thunderbird on the memory stick and then import all the Outlook data into that. You would of course have to spend a few moment learning Thunderbird but it is easy to use and supports USB sticks as standard.
