where you from and are you in possesion of a visa (you mention tourist)?

if you dont have a visa, the imigration (not all countries) will give 30 days stay, you will be able to do a border run (exit thailand say cambodia and return) in a same day, you would have to do this 2 times cos your gonna need just short of 90 days

if say you were british, you could get a visa from say, hull before hand and then your covered! click link below for hull, worth aread anyway!

thanks. i am from the UK. i dont have time to visit hull so i will need to do the border runs twice. My main concern is will i be ok with my return flight being almost 90 days after my arrival even though i will only qualify for the 30 day visa on arrival?

You can do the visa with Hull by post ... in case you weren't aware of it.

Good point, and truth is i dont know, i have heard storys of been asked etc and delays cos of it, cos i also belive the airline might not let you board due to them bieng liable for you!

as a sujestion could you book a return inside your 30 days with it bieng an open ticket you would be able to change date when here?

chris

Save yourself grief and get a tourist visa if you dont have time then book a cheapie flight out of thailand on Nok/Asia Air before the first 30days. You need to prove you are leaving the country or you risk not being able to board the plane on 7 May.
