I am buying a new car. New because the price is reasonable, and it will give me peace of mind knowing it hasn't been abused y previous owner, and has three year warranty.

My choice currently is between a Toyota Vios (Soluna) or Honda City ZX. the model i am looking at has airbags, ABS, factory Mag wheels, rear speakers, electric mirror etc, and the specs are almost identical. in fact, I cannot really see any difference between them. the price is within 10 k Bt of each other. the Honda is available now, the Vios in about two months.

Can anyone who owns one or has an opinion about which is better tell me which way to go? Which is the better car?

Test drive both of them yourself and see what discounts / freebies they give. There really isn't much between them so it will depend on your personal choice, I think. You might also want to consider the yaris and jazz (the jazz is a new model and looks a pretty nice car from what I can tell).

I would choose the Honda.

I have been renting a new Vios for the last six months and before that a Jazz, never driven a City but would imagine it to be similar to the Jazz.

The Honda, to me felt more refined with power delivery and handling, also the interior is nicer.

I have booked a new Jazz, which should be delivered around early June. I have heard a new city is due out later this year, maybe something to think about.

i had the similar choice few years back & afer a lot of comparing chose VIOS & never for a moment thought otherwise,

my next car would be most likely New Vios as well, unless Thailand will have a coup in prices :D .

Yes Honda seem to accelerate quicker (but ONLY IF VTEC) . Interior, guess who likes what , but i find VIOS Much bigger

>>infact being 6"3 tall it was causing me pain to sit in one ! (city/jazz driver seat too small) , unless there's New City which'll be as different from the present one, as new Accord & Civic became ... than it may actually become a nice car :o

Both the current City and the Jazz have become a bit long in the tooth and are showing their ages. They are also both due for replacement sooner rather than later. I can't really understand why, under these circumstances, anyone would consider buying one, unless they are offering very good discounts.

Jazz replacement has just been launched, slightly larger, more power, and will be my choice after long deliberation. What clinched it was the ease of getting in and out, all the others I had to fold my neck sideways to avoid hitting my head , but the Jazz is high enough to get in without any trouble. Also, it fits tall people in the rear seat, unlike others.

Now just two months to wait for delivery.....

Hi Kees5,

Did you get any extras or insurance thrown in with the Jazz?

Tinted windows, reverse alarm (for parking), underseal, and an initial wax job. Still thinking about what insurance to get.

The NEW City is here in September... Like the new Jazz it is a bit longer and wider and more room inside.
