"free" Satellite Tv - Real Or Scam?"

Featured Replies

Has anybody had any personal experience, or reliable second hand information, about this site?

http://www.liveplayer.tv/index.asp?PID=bb1...4e-5227b3b24cac

It supposedly provides access to "satellite programming from several different countries" for no monthly fees. I have NOT downloaded it, because I will not trust any "free lunch" advertisement without some dependable confirmation that it's legit, and not riddled with viruses, etc.

My McAfee "Site Advisor" flashed a warning on it, indicated that some users had complained of "negative or undesireable" results from the site.

So, anybody got additional information?

As I said, Eugene, I haven't tried to download it, due to concerns about security. So I don't know if the download, or the use of it, would be blocked here.

As for my ADSL, I do know that it can support some streams, as I've watched many American football games via streams. But some others, such as newscasts, etc., will only run for 3-10 seconds, then freeze for several seconds before starting again. I don't know if that's as a result of the server on the other end, or some other cause. That's way beyond my technical expertise to determine.

It's not worth it.

It's only a player with loads of free internet channels pre-programmed.

Most, if not all, can be found on different websites just listing these channels.

For example following site: http://wwitv.com/portal.htm
