Somewhat of an odd question I think, but here goes . . .

While living in BKK, I will be receiving packages of electronics goods occasionally from China, about ~2lbs with an estimated value ~$3k.

I will also be mailing similar packages of similar value to the US and Canada.

I want to know the most reliable way to do this (to avoid lost/damaged mail) and what forms and legal issues I'd expect to deal with for all 3 countries. Also any suggestions on how to avoid the red-tape that is Thai gov't . . .

The only illegal part of this activity would be that I'm on a tourist visa for about 6 months - but since this is a once a month activity I don't think anyone will care/notice . . .

I might make a vacation trip to China anyway, and could pick up the package while I'm there. Think anyone will notice a box filled with lots of electronics in my check-in baggage?
