Gonsalviz
I have a few books that explain the different types of land titles in Thailand but I am not sure I understand what they are talking about. Can someone explain in terms a dummy can understand? I think 'chanote' is what I want or should have. Thanks
johnnyk
Chanote is what you want and should have. It is 100% full title, properly surveyed and registered by the Land office.
Gonsalviz
Thanks, as I read on down I found what I was looking for under a title I did not expect to find it under.
Gary A
Chanote is what you want and should have.It is 100% full title, properly surveyed and registered by the Land office. It's not quite as simple as that. Yes a chanote is the best, BUT there are chanotes with different color seals. A red seal chanote means you can pretty much do whatever you want with the property. Other colors mean there are some types of restrictions. I'm no expert but my wife will buy nothing without a red seal chanote.
MrPaddy
Speaking of titles and descriptions....I have several descriptions of each title criteria in english, does anyone have or know where I can get the same in Thai please. I gather it would be easy to find, but I dont read thai to get past 'google' Thanks.
