Hello guys

I'm back from KL where I went to apply for my (1st-time) non-immigrant visa B. I was kinda worried because the only paper my university gave me was a letter stating I would be a voluntary teacher (I'm not even sure they had written for how long). It's a buddhist university and they told me it is like a government university and I didn't need any other paper. Still, a letter seemed... not enough. Got a map from Google map with the position of the university on it, plus a picture, and that was all.

Got at the Embassy at 10.30, I had 48 ppl before me but I got at the counter 1h10 after I arrived. Gave the papers and my passport at the counter, went back to my seat and waited another 10-15min. The guy then asked me to come again, made pay the 220rm and gave me the receipt saying that I had to come back the next day at 11:30am. I did as told, signed up at the entrance and got my passport back in less than 30sec.

I got the 3-month visa, on April 28th and I have to use it before July 27th. I don't know how it went for others but it all seemed pretty smooth. The only guy I heard complaining was saying something like "I have been living in Thailand 7 years. Why do you keep giving me only 3 months visa ?" Except for him... everything ok.

So I guess it's pretty okay to get the tourist visa really easily too...

Cheers

Gaelle
