Tourist Visa - Ho Chi Minh City

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any information on getting a tourist visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam? Is it easy to get one there? Any other options on getting a tourist visa?

Thanks

I believe that Vietnamese do not need a visa in advance to visit Thailand.

Does anyone know how long a stamp Vietnamese get on arrival in Thailand?

14 days?

30 days?

Thanks very much

SC

OP did not indicate he was Vietnamese so expect he is not. Believe a single entry tourist visa is available but they do require to see flight ticket out of Vietnam from most reports.

Vietnamese receive the normal 30 day visa exempt entry stamp but are not limited to 90 days in a six month period.

I am sorry I should have been more clear. I am an American citizen. I have been living in Thailand for 2 years. I need to go outside the country to get a Thai tourist visa. I have done this before in Singapore and in Ventiene, but this time I would like to try and get one at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh in order to come back to Thailand. Let me know if you know anything about this

Getting a tourist visa at the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City is no problem. I've done it. You just need to show your flight out of Vietnam to Thailand which you'll most likely have anyway. I don't know what they'd say if you said you were going overland though.
