Phuket Broadband

Featured Replies

Hi, Looking for a broadband connection in Phuket close to Villa California/Villa 3 - any recommendations? I've looked at the reportimg website but no results for my location.

Considering Cat's CDMA as I don't have a land line can anyone give me a run down on this, Looked at the cat website and see choice of 2 modems one about 5000 and the other 11,000 - don't see anything about monthly charges in English. Is this ok for general surfing, a bit of tv prog downloading and possible Voip?

Thanks.

A bit more info if anyone is interested...

The model at 5000 baht is a slow 156k connection only,

The model at 11,000 baht is discontinued now and will be replaced next month with a new version to sell at a huge 19,000 for 400-700k. Monthly fee is 790 baht for either.

Anyone use this faster system? how do you get on with it?
