right here wi go,

got 5 tvs, 2 x ubc boxes, music comes from ubc (same boxes)! 1 cctv system and a dvd player!

would like a machine similar to an amp, maybe be better if it was an amp as well, that i could plug everything into then just put tv#1 on ubc #2, then say tv#5 on ubc#1 tv #3 on say cctv, without moving machines around and unpluging wires etc?

any help or advice and maybe model no etc shop to buy from pattaya area (if poss) would be great!

You need a multi zone video switch (often combined with amp)..

I am operating on (educated) guesswork that this will be a lot more than the cost of having just 5 seperate points.. I just set up 4 points in my home and it wasnt expensive. multi zone video generally racks up very expensive fast and also theres lots of complexity about the switching / control of it.. 5 source 5 output is 25 combinations.

dreambox sat boxes (clones).. <4k baht each.. These can either be networked together to share one UBC card in your home or use

Smartwi wireless UBC card splitter.. 5500 baht for master tx and 3 slave / daughter cards. Saved me spending 1000's in new cabling.. Runs 3 UBC connections independently of each other from your one UBC card, you can add more daughter cards up to a 7 zone system I think.

5x a dvd player is small cost too..

This will not only be probably cheaper and less cabling, it will also make each zone fully independant and not have to worry about IR transmission and control back to the central control boxes.

Dont forget you still need to both route the IR signals back to the source boxes AND manage the video switcher if you go this route.

thanks for that very much, that box from amazon looks ideal what i had in mind and 8 is more than enough for growth, dont soppose i can source one from nakacula or pattars, not for any other reason if they have 2 or 3 different models i can compare whats better for me?
