Aps Troubles

Featured Replies

My APS is no longer functional. No electronics plugged into it are receiving electricity. Is that a sign the battery is dead and needs replacement? It won't even turn on when plugged in, with or with out electronics plugged into it.

I'll assume you mean a UPS (possibly made by APC) :D

Before you go off and get new batteries, check any breakers or fuses on the back (and make sure the outlet your plugged into is ok).

If it still won't work, then batteries is the likely problem, cheap enough to replace :D

WARNING If you do take the lid off and replace the batteries yourself do not run the unit with the cover off, lots of bits that are quite capable of killing you even if not plugged in to the mains :o

Thanks very much Crossy. I shall be ever so careful and will check out the breaker situation now.
