Just Tried to use AussieCall.Com to call Thailand. On the 0424215122 Number. Asked for my Account Number. Has anyone used them?

I am unable to get hold of a Butterfly Calling Card. Anyone Know of a good calling card with Rockingham Access with same rates as Butterfly.

Just use Skype....

Move to Freo.

Just use Skype....

Skype costs 15 cents a minute to call a Mobile in Thailand. Butterfly Card is 2.5 cents a minute.

Are you on commission?

search phone cards au there are a couple of online sites with plenty of cheap cards.

Cheers Rick

Try a phone card called 'Green card'

$10 gets you 1000 minutes to a mobile phone outside of Bangkok.

Available from most Asian grocery stores (at least on east coast)

The wife seems to think it is fairly accurate in the counting of time used & she can stay connected for hours (beleive me).

Some cards are a bit shonky - you get cutoff after 30 min or an hour & they cheat on minutes count.

Just stay away from the large denomination cards $30 & $50 as these cards come & go all the time.

We use the Hello Thailand card - usually works well, but very occasionally difficult to get through at peak times. It is less than 2c/min and has a Rockingham number:

I was wondering about Aussie Call too and I found this post. So far it worked fine for me when I called a couple of places in Koh Samui. The connection was not great, but it was easier than buying a calling card just to book a room.

It didn't ask me for an account either. Maybe they were not working right when u tried. You need to use an Australian mobile phone AFAIK.

Thanks Wontok.

Works fine most of the time, and can recharge unlike Butterfly.

It took me a little while to work this out but this is the way to save the most on your calls to Thailand from Australia. If you want to call from your mobile to a landline or mobile in thailand then call 04 1020 1020 and you can speak for as long as you like for free. The only catch is you have to pay for a local mobile call to 04 1020 1020 (see: www.aussiemobile.com). If you have a mobile cap like me then the cost of the call comes off your cap. I got a voda $49 cap which gives me $500 worth call credit.

If you call from a landline it is best to buy the Easy calling phone card from http://www.aussiephonecards.com.au/Easy-Calling.html and it will cost you 3 cents/ min to ring Thailand mobile and landline. If like me your work pays for calls to mobiles then use 04 1020 1020.

I've used Aussiecall a few times, last night I spoke for 31 minutes to a mobile in BKK for A$3.40

I use Virgin's Beancounter plan, 10 cents / minute.

Volume of the mobs in Thailand appear to be low, so I call from home, a quiet environment, for best results.

Recommended? Sure. :o

Lucky dragan 1000 minutes to mobiles out side BKK available in any video easy shop and once you have the first one you can recharge it by credit card, thus keeping the same PIN for ever JIM

How much, Jim?

http://www.mobivoX.com/ 1.9 US CENTS MIN.

NOT SURE IT IS GOOD FOR AUSSIE LAND THOUGH. Can call from mobile or landline. also calling landline or mobile in thasi same price 1.9 nice voice recognition also no dialing all the numbers just say the name of your contact. and it does the call for you. no monthly charges no expiration of minutes....

Yep, local access numbers are listed, Aus to Thailand

@us1.9 cents

cheers :o

We have been using Aussiecall for months now.

I have a Vodafone plan for $1000 per month that gives us $5000 worth of calls.

The call to Aussiecall is charged at a normal australian mobile rate, and even my wife cannot make more calls to her mum than the call cap.

Although she does try...

Sometimes it is hard to connect in peak periods, but overall it is great.
