May 22, 200818 yr I am interested in knowing if when you bring your car for service at ANY new car dealership do they provide a bill in english or thai. If the bill is in Thai has anyone asked to have it provided in english? If so what were you told? I ask because Toyota here in Udon Thani tells me that it is impossible to have the bill provided in english because the Japanese management will only provide a Thai language version of the computer software.

Believe what you have been told at Toyota is true as was told a similar thing in Rayong, however one of the mechies who spoke pretty good English was good enough to go through it with me and the Mrs.. Suppose from Toyota's perspective the offical language in Thailand is Thai, and the number of Farangs looking for an English language version of bill is very small compared to the number of Thai's getting their cars serviced, so doesnt justify putting an English version in the system from a cost point of view..
May 22, 200818 yr Hard to imagine you could get an English language invoice at any car repair place, even if they had the software, which I doubt they would. Very unlikely the person processing the bill will speak good enough english to make the correct entries. I know you couldn't get a Thai language bill at an American dealership. Might get Spanish though.

Yeap, would agree....us farangs are just a drop in the Thailand bucket and we need to understand that in our epectations/desires/wants/decisions/etc.
