Missing Persons

Featured Replies

I wonder if there is such a phone service/website in Bangkok/ Thailand which you may contact to find out about anyone who went missing (was s/he admitted to a hospital? arrested by a police? got in a car acciddent? left the country?)

Urgent responces will be particularly appreciated.

I suppose the police have their ways of looking if you really think there is a mysterious absence; otherwise you might check immigration, the embassies, hospitals, etc.

However, if someone doesn't want to be found, there are privacy issues involved, too.

You may consider engaging a private detective, if you are very concerned. But I don't think there's any "Is Foreigner Ted in your country or not" kinds of phone numbers- think about it; that's why private detectives cost money.

Anyway, we don't do missing persons requests on Thaivisa, so please do NOT try to post the name of the party you are searching for- however, I'll let the thread stay open as long as it sticks to advice on how someone might find (anyone).

My friend went missing for 6 months. Turned out she was shacked up with this guy.

I helped her family out by calling the airline and learnt she had not left the country with in a matter of minuets

You just need the information on her passport ect.

Hope everything works out

The Embassy is always the best way to go if it's a real emergency I suspect ?
