I bought a name brand computer here in thai at a large IT center. It came bundled with some software but they didnt give me any of the orginal operating discs. does this sound like standard proceedure. Its older software not the Vista or anything. If I bring this computer to the usa am I going to have any trouble with customs?

If you're worried about customs checking to see if you have to original install disk on your person while going through, you're worrying to much. How many people carry around those disks? Plus, even buying from OEMs, most just include a 'repair' partition anyways. You'll have bigger problems taking burnt pirate software through though.
