Dtech Edge Datacard

Featured Replies

I bought an edge datacard (DT-631U)made by D-tech and I have tried connecting with both Dtac & AIS simcards to no avail!!!!! I can get on line and receive google home page and it will search readily enough but when I go to the particular website it just comes up as unobtainable. I have tried it in different locations in Bangkok & Pattaya but can not get fully connected.

Is this down to a setting I have to change or what? any help would be appreciated! thanks

Not sure what the problems are.

Some things you can check/do:

In the connection settings, make sure that the APN (access point name) is set to "internet" for AIS and "www.dtac.co.th" for Dtac (without the brackets).

Another thing helpful is to set the DNS servers to open DNS (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220)

Disable any proxy severs if they are set.

Good luck!

Cheers Monty, have got the APN already on both cards and the DNS numbers seem to be ok, changed the unit and inserted the cards and now it works, but only with AIS!! no idea why DTAC does not work, but there you go!!
