May 30, 200818 yr Book the ticket online with either airasia or one2go. Airasia fly to don muang and 12go fly to swampa, i beleive. I tried both of them and they where both cheap and ok. Even nok air i think do some flights surat-bangkok. Always able to get a bargain. Last time i flew i paid 395 to bangkok (12go) and 725 back to samui (airasia), and both of the tickets i bought one day before the flight on internet. If you have a car its an 1hour drive from donsak to the airport. And good parking. I usually give a 100 baht tip to the security-boys and tell them "look extra on that car". If you dont have a car, there is suppose to be somekind of minivan service from samui-surathani airport. At least from the airort there is one to samui but i suppose they go both ways? Last time (januari) my mother in law took it from surath and i think she payed 700 baht including the boat. You can go in to a travel agents office in samui and book it. Good luck.
May 30, 200818 yr A bus goes from Nathon to the airport. Timed to co incide with the flights. Around 300 baht. Air Asia go to Suvamabhumi as do One to Go. Nok Air do not go from Surat but Thai Air do. Edited May 30, 200818 yr by Lite Beer
May 30, 200818 yr I think what the poster is after is info on Lomprayah ferries that travel from Samui to Chumphon and then bus to Bangkok. http://www.lomprayah.com/E/history.htm I always meant to try the route myself but never got around to it. HL
June 1, 200818 yr I did lomprayah hua hin-samui return trip and it was about 1400 one way so to bkk will be more. its a long trip, took about 8 hours from hh to samui so add another 2.5 to get to bkk. flying sounds better and i'll do that next time. Edited June 1, 200818 yr by johnnyk
