and come back later on a tourist visum for example will that cause me any trouble?

There is some disagreement but no financial outstanding issues except for

I can only advise you speak to a lawyer if you are worried. If you want to close an account you need both account holders present.

1) No problem entering on any type of visa after you cease being a director.

2) If it is a savings account the account may have to be closed as the savings book has both names on it. If it is a current account, a letter from the company with an authorised signature and company seal should be sufficient. Perhaps the letter needs the signature of both persons currently authorized to sign for the account. Best ask the bank.
