Hotmail--unable To Contact Hotmail Users

Featured Replies

This has been going on for two days, now. All emails to hotmail users are being rejected (permanent). Part of the rejection message is ....

"Technical details of permanent failure:

PERM_FAILURE: Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons."

Hotmail rejecting for POLICY reasons? <deleted>?

Anyone having similar problems or any insights?

550 is often the result of an incorrect SMTP setting. How are you sending the mails, i.e. are you just using a browser or an e-mail client such as outlook.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm using only Gmail with Firefox browser.

TT

This may mean that an address in the chain {possibly the ISP gateway from Thailand} has been suspended. Trouble is there's no one to talk to. One option would be to use a p***y to try and see if that removes the problem.

Regards
