Want to get a VOIP / Skype handset to use over the internet. Saw one once in Tukcom in Pattaya but some brand I had never heard of.

Now can I get one which does not have to be put in the USB or can it be hands free or can it go straight in the wall without the computer ? On TOT at the moment.

The USB models are the cheapest and will probably be brands you've never heard of but they work anyway. I've used a few different models but now use a Sennheiser headset for comfort and very good quality sound.

There are various phones you can run through a suitable modem/router so you don't even have to turn on your computer to make a call. Don't know where to buy in Pattaya but in Pantip I would try the shop, second floor from the top under the IT City store, that has different brands of networking hardware. I think I've seen the Linksys phones there that can be used for Skype and normal calls.
