Best Way To Send Blood Sample To Japan?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I need to send a 1 cc cat blood sample to Kanagawa Japan for a rabies anti-body test. What is the best way to do this? I know it needs to be refrigerated or frozen, and I would like to do this without spending a small fortune. It looks like Fedex is no longer sending animal products to Japan also..

Any ideas on this?

Thanks

Have you tried DHL?

I know they send serum amples around but we do not usually use them.

I work in clinical trials and we send serum samples out of Thailand all the time - I will ask my Thai colleagues who they use locally and get back to you.

PS: First time we use a company we have o send dummy samples with the temperature testing kits inside - I trust you do not want to go that far?

Edit - look like they are all busy or out of the office - I will ask and get back to you later though.

These come highly reccomended by our Research Manager in Thailand - they are very good at clincal trial logistics and transporting where their needs to be a "Cold Chain" - they move our trial supplies and serum samples around
