Visa Help Please

Featured Replies

Hi!

I'm new to this forum so hope I have posted this in the correct place!!

I am flying into bangkok on 27th June and then flying on from Bangkok to New Zealand on 10th Aug.

We are planning to leave Thailand after 3 weeks to travel to Cambodia and on to Vietnam.

I am starting to panic slightly as I have read that no visa is required as long as you leave Thailand before 30 days.

Although we plan to do to this my main airline ticket does not show this as we will be making our own way to cambodia.

Will we be allowed to enter Thailand as our ticket shows that we will be there for 6 weeks??

Thanks in advance!!

Michelle

Your itinerary is not clear. First you say that you will arrive in Thailand on 27 July, then fly to New Zealand on 10 August. Then you say that 3 weeks after arriving in Thailand you will travel to Cambodia and Vietnam. So which is it?

My apologies I ment to write 27th June!! So from our tickets it looks like we will be in Thailand for 6 weeks, but after 3 weeks we will be going to Cambodia and Vietnam before going beck to Bangkok to get our flight to NZ! Thanks!!

It is very unlikely that you will have a problem entering Thailand, but it is quite probable that the airline will not let you check in for your flight to Thailand if you do not have a visa.

Recommendation: get a tourist visa.

Will you be leaving to New Zealand from Thailand or from Vietnam?

Oops didn't read your second reply well. But I agree with Maestro that the problem will be with the airline. Another option is to email the airline about this and see what their reply is. if they say yes, you have it in writing and you shouldn't have any problems. If no, go for a visa.
