Switch From Tot To T&t

Featured Replies

Yesterday I switch internet provider from TOT to T&T. The service is cheaper and it seems that there will be an offer soon at which point my speed will be doubled for free. This is all very good. However after then connected everything and left I realized that there was no way to connect their modem to my wireless router. When I looked at their modem I realized it said ‘Wireless’ on the top with a picture of a signal being given out. The long and the short of it is that I had them back and I am now using my old TOT modem with the T&T connection, as their modem is not Wireless and does not have the capability to connect to my router. That’s no big deal, I was just a bit perplexed as to why their modem said ‘Wireless’ on the top of it. The technician couldn’t tell me. Maybe it’s just another case of some one labeling something when they have no idea what it means, a bit like shops of gas stations that say ’24hr’ even when they aren’t.

Anyway, how does T&T compare to TOT? I actually found TOT ok but a little slow. This T&T connection seems a bit quicker.

dont be fooled too quickly......... the speed is good now but if its anything like my old connection that only lasts a month and then it plummets

Better sticking to TOT but only time will tell I guess
