Penang Appl Ication For Thai Visa

Featured Replies

Can't find any other thread with this little tidbit of info up yet. All my $$'s in baht these days, just wondering whether I should do some money changing b4 heading over to the embassy and applying. I wanna have all my ducks in a row first.

Pay in MYR.

In Georgetown Penang, H.S Sam Book Store 473 Chulia St. Penang. can get a Thai visa (60 Day Tourist) for you, Some agents are requesting you provide the Consulate with a exit air ticket from Thailand, but H.S. Sam Book Store was able to get visa without air ticket. Pay in Malaysian Ringgit. He will also sell you Mini-Bus ticket back to Hat Yai.

Let one of the bookshop services along Lebuh Chulia do it for you. More convenient & cheaper too when you consider your own transport cost if you go to the embassy.

I'm going for the full legal Non-Imm B, Multiple entry for a yr and want to do the right thing. We'll see whether I do the Chulia st runner thing or not. But as for how to pay at the embassy, that was my only concern as I've heard to bring the exact $$ necessary and know that my multi B will cost me something like 5,600 baht. That's alot to change for 1-2 day trip there if I don't need to and can just pay baht. But I think I'll bring the ringitts and get change at the airport. Unless there's a better pace to do it?

You must pay in Malaysian Ringgits. They will not accept anything else.
