there is no such thing. at least no scheduled flight with one of the registered airlines. NOK used to have flights from LOEI to Bangkok and even Udon Thani, but they stopped it.

I think there once was a long time ago, but isn't currently. Your best bet would be to fly Thai Air to Phitsanulok and then go east on Rte 12 to Lom Sak. Judging by the map, it would be about 2 hrs of driving time from the airport to Lom Sak. The Thai Air flight to P'lok is nice, up and down puddle jump on new B737 aircraft. I've taken it many times both ways. It has run on time or very nearly so every time I've flown.

Strong rumor among the Phetchabun farangs is that scheduled flights are recommencing this month. 3 flights a day - 7 days a week. Two days ago a twin engine turbo prop was doing circuits and bumps into the airport which has apparently been resurfaced. I don't know who the operator is. I will go out to the airport and check it out.

unfortunetaly, this new airlines seems to have very strong ties with the notorious Orient-Thai / 1-2-Go, which in fact makes them a "NO-NO" to use if you are concerned about safety in any way....

went past the old airport today and its deserted no movement there what so ever and certainly no signs up

Phoenix air were due to to start flights.....but.... the airline which only has one aircraft has suspended all operations for the time being due to the rising fuel prices,,,,der why can't they convert to LPG???

The owner is very young and you should see the photos of his female staff....perhaps daddy wouldn't give him any more pocket money!

The only way to make the route paid is to fly into the Phetchabun army base airfield, who the hel_l wants to travel to the back of beyond! Ok if you don't mind leaving your wheels there so you can get home!

I heard that flights to Phetchabun/Lomsak was started in December 2008. Any body know about this? :o

The Phoenix-air web-site (www.air-phoenix.com) hasn't been updated for some time, routes have variously been reported as being from DMK to Chiang Mai, Mae Sot or Khorat, I wouldn't hold my breath on this one... :o

I went past the airport a few days ago and still no signs of movement there plus a complete lack of aircraft
