Walked into Pattaya Immigration first thing in the morning. Had every paper used last year and then some extra.

400,000 baht in bank with letter for 3 months 5 days and current bankbook showing 400,000 baht.

I was sent away to go get my bankbook from last year showing the 400,000 baht which was in a 12 month time deposit not a the current 3 month deposit.

I was not asked for this last year but this year they make up something new.

Took the same picture in the house (bedroom) as last year. They want a picture of the front of the house and family.

I will not post my thoughts about this nonsense. It is what it is.

I'm so tired of jumping through hoops for these people. They simply don't want us here, and truth be told, I can't wait until people stop coming here and they fall on their face. Other SE Asian countries are coming up quick and WANT us and our money.

I may end up in Vietnam myself next year.

I really am fed up with these people are their nonsense. Their incompetence is beyond words. The funny thing is, they won't even be able to figure out why everyone left.

I have a family here. My boy is half-Thai. I am working to get my family out of Thailand. I hate it here. I don't like these people and don't like their country. Mainly I don't want my boy to grow up Thai. I want my boy to grow up with morals in a society that is warm.

I am likely to move to South America to live with Latinos. I am more than tired of this crap.

I have a family here as well and our son is nearly 4.

I am off to New Zealand to work while my family stay here.

The money I earn will all be spent here in Thailand and the only time that I will leave Thailand permanently is when I die.

I love it here but I live up country which is a completely different world to the big cities that a lot of people on TV live in. Most of the people around where I live give me a ganuine smile and are friendly and strangely enough have good morals. But good morals come from the family as does honesty and all the other values of a society.

I have lived and worked in over 20 countries in my 64 year life and I can honestly say that overall this is the nicest country that I have EVER lived in.

But then again that is only me.

Different horses for different courses.

As for South America I liked Chile a lot while I was there but I would never live in Venezuela though I had to a few years ago for the job I was on.

It has always been a requirement for an extension to support a Thai wife to take a photo of you with your wife and children in front of the house. Possibly last year you were not asked to do this but it was still a requirement. To the best of my knowledge nothing has really changed since 2008 for the marriage extension, or the retirement extension with the exception of having to show the money in the bank for 90 days.

Last year we were specifically asked for a photo of the family in the bedroom. No mention of the front of the house. Exactly where is this written? I have a brochure from 2006 in Thai and English with a list. Photos are not on it.
