60 Day Visa

Featured Replies

OK, since I personally have only had education or Non-Imm B's I don't know how to sort out this mess.

Info: 26yr American in Chiang Mai

My friend came here April 18th to may 1st. He loved it and decided he wanted to come back as long as he could, and possibly find a job. (He is an English major)

So now he came back on June 6th and we are looking at the best way to maximize his stay, other than getting a non-imm B.

What are his choices?

Extending it 2 more times in Chiang Mai

Jumping up to Mae Sai to extend it.

Could he go out on the 25th and hit Laos and come in with a 60 day and extend that for another 30, or would they catch him for trying to get 120days?

We want easy and legal, travel to Laos or Burma is ok

Thanks for the help in advance.

Most simple way.

Go to Vientienne Laos and get a double entry tourist visa.

Each entry is for 60 days and can be extended at Immigration in Chiang Mai.

This will give him a total stay of almost 6 months.

If he wants to stay longer , do the whole thing again.

Great, so this will get past that pesky 90 days business. We figured this was the answer so I went ahead and got some days off work to plan ahead.

Thanks LB :o
