How Does Satalite Tv Work?

Featured Replies

so often when you want to watch a game you have to come here and ask what bar will have its covered, so i imagine that these bars have some kind of dish to recieve signals. i want to get the nba and nfl package from the us that gives you every game.

Those are only available on internet and expect only to IP address in the US as far as I know. They are not a satellite service in this area.

Not sure about a network that covers ALL games, but I guess your best bet would be the Philippine DreamTV network.

ESPN on that network is geared very much to American sports.

The ESPN on the local (Thai) networks is an Asian version which hardly gives anything American!

The network mostly used in bars and pub's is the South African Multichoice network, which carries the 7 Supersport channels.

To get a feel of the sports they broadcast check out following website: http://www.supersport.co.za/content.aspx?i...t&view=full

Multichoice is bloody expensive to get in Thailand though, an official smartcard costs around 55,000 Baht/year!!!

I do not believe you can get packages like NFL Sunday Ticket (DirecTV) or NBA League Pass via satellite TV here in Thailand currently. The best you can do is access existing broadcast options (CBS, FOX, ESPN, etc.) to view weekly offerings.

Desire is the root of all suffering..
