defenatly worth visiting but was more looking for not human created parks but more like a stretch of unaffected nature where it is easy to walk in without needing a machete or something.

must be some sort of nature left in Pattaya somewhere??

Khao Kheow itself, not the zoo but the hill, it's a nature reserve.

Also there's a few waterfalls that are in nature reserves in Rayong.

I guess a visit to TAT or a look at their website is in order?

Soi 6 is a place untouched by civilization..:-)

Or perhaps a hike along Walking Street. Lots of animals and raw nature there too!

Hehe. Good one. I would say it is definitely pretty wild. I truly do hope it keeps running. It is not the greatest testament to mankind, but I doubt that 150 yards of that will bring about the downfall of western or eastern civilization!

Hi,

And there is not even a park like Lumpini in Bangkok around Pattaya ? Even smaller ?

Cheers.

frenchfarangjomtien, has found a 3 year old thread on parks, but never mind, there is one very nice unspoilt park at the back of Wat Yaan Temple complex, Take the LEFT road down the side of the Chinese temple and it is maybe 5 klicks on the right hand side right on a sharp left hand bend, there is a guard post and barrier. I believe it is something to do with the wild animal breeding center a little bit further on.
