COCO?: Or, do you far prefer Bar-Girl perfume?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

WAY back in the day, when I was in the habit of visiting bars, I sometimes preferred the scent of bar-girls, rather than COCO, from Chanel.

Would you say things have changed much?

For Men, would you say, the bar-girl scent is superior to Coco Eau di Parfum from Chanel?

image.png

Surprisingly enough, I still recall the perfume wafting around the girlie-bars, when I was in my early twenties.

Bar Girls are smart, and they know what perfume to wear.

They also know....what NOT to wear, at the right time.

So, any opinions about this important Topic/

Best regards,

Gamma

Important Note: I am NOT saying that Chanel is the be-all and end-all of the finest scents.....because....

I know that if you are willing to pay BIG BUCKS, like a Trumper (or a trooper), you can buy some really high-class smells.

What do you think?

Note: Maybe this Topic is ONLY for women, though......right....????

There's not a better smell, riding my PCX evenings, down soi Buakhou behind a pretty bar girl sat pillion, side saddle on taxi motorbike.

I'm following her until she hops off.

I do that intentionally. But I do aim to spread it out evenly like aftershave. If there happens to be any leftover, it gets laid right onto the bait and tackle.

In ALL HONESTY....you are absolutely correct.

BUT, what, really, is this scent?

Near as I can figure:

This must be an amalgamation of.....

a. The shampoo they like.

b. Cigarette smoke

c. Cheap perfume

d. The smell of lust for money, and money smells good

e. A very warm young body

f. All mixed up into one some scent that can NEVER be duplicated anywhere else.

When I was young, I rode on the back of a motorbike girl, with her hair blowing back and covering my face.

This smell of AMBROSIA is a smell that I have never smelled anywhere.....

It was like the smell of: VICTORY

Victory because....I realized I had grasped the Brass Ring.

Most guys never experience this.

If there IS such a thing as AMBROSIA, then it must be what one smells when riding, at 3am, on the back of some Bar-Girl, on a motor scooter, with the wind blowing her scent back at you, a mile a minute.

Most guys never experience this.

And, I have not experienced this ecstasy enough times in my life.

Even the thought of this gives me a HUGE one.

=============

Unfortunately, I now have only vivid memories.

I am over the hill, and beyond riding on the back of some Bar-Girl, on her motorbike, with humid air blowing by......

God, what what I would not give just to return to those moments.....!

Hanging on....

For dear life....

Sitting behind her on her motorbike....
Clinging for dear life, to her youthful breasts....

And, SHE.....guiding the bike.....

Wherever.

That was my life in Tainan, Taiwan.

It was not boring.

==============

These days, though, I just, mostly, hang out in my rooms, and remember what once was.

It's OK.

==============

Even now, when I think of those days, and sitting behind a girl with her hair blowing in my face.....

MY MOUTH WATERS; the saliva flows freely, and I go weak in my knees with desire.

This is NOT a Joke Topic.....

Gamma, is that you, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille?

That popular scent is known as Eau De Short-Time. They are all oozing of it by 3AM, after they've gone for 3-4 rides on bikes already.

I am merely recollecting my times, back in the day, in Tainan, Taiwan.

Strangely as it might seem, I can still, so very vividly, smell the smell of that girl's hair, blowing back on my face, as I hung on, for dear life, with both hands planted on her breasts, as she navigated her motorbike, from hither to yon, with that heavy humid air, the air which just compounded the sensual experience...about THEN FOLD.

Yes, even after decades, I can still smell her and feel her, and my salivary glands are now, even now, working OVERTIME.....for sure.....

The human brain is a miraculous organ.

about THEN FOLD

Ten fold, actually.

And, her pert breasts were amazing.

She was a dark-haired bartender.

I guess some guys might know...

There is always ONE, one that is unforgettable.

She definitely had a scent about her....and she had the Scent of a Woman.....

Those Tight Points....going around curves.....

Kept me on the back of her bike....

While holding onto them.....

God, I wish I could do it all again, and hold onto her tight points, on the back of her bike.

THOSE were the days...

Not She, but another one.....

We did it in Kowloon......HO-MAN-TIN....

HO-MAN-TIN.....out on the roof......

On her roof, overlooked by 10,000....

Such a sweet time.

Doing it on the roof, surrounded by high-rise HK buildings.

Truly....

UNFORGETTABLE.

Once is NOT enough......

So...

We did it many times.

And then, she said....."It's time for bed"......

Just saying.....

It was great to be young in HK, back in the day.

Honestly speaking?

Honestly speaking.....

Even if a hot Asian Chick, from 4-decades back, in Tainan, Taiwan, could not appreciate the song RAINMAIKER, then she was not a keeper.

THIS was always the ACID-TEST for any girl, back in the day...

If she did not pass the RAINMAKER Acid-Test, then....

No matter how amazing she smelled, ...

There was NO FUTURE in her.

IF your new-found love does not CRY when you play this song for her....then......

Just find some other motorbike girl, and....

SMELL HER HAIR......

Instead

This is my best advice, after too many years in Asia.

Some things are true. 😎

This is my best advice, after too many years in Asia.

Thinking a Taiwanese girl would understand the words in that song is ludicrous. Asians are pop music oriented, besides those that like metal, mostly the men who play guitars, and most Asians will never hear songs like that, as they aren't going to be searching that type of music.

Most here in Thailand also will never hear most of the best music the west has to offer, unless they can speak and understand English well, and spend time with foreign spouses or live in tourist areas, which play older western music along with newer pop.

The majority in all of Asia will never hear what the world has to offer, missing out on some of the best songs. The same happens with movies here. The best movies that have come out will never be seen by most Asians, unless again they can understand the history of the west, and understand English well enough to know what the movies are about.

When a man moves here, he's coming here for a younger wife, and with that will be a history that doesn't really understand western culture as far as music and movies, so relating to them with those topics only comes from much time spent with an English understanding wife. if they're interested at all in learning the western culture.

My girlfriend here, who speaks and understands English pretty well, likes some of the music I've turned her on to, mostly the songs with slower sung lyrics, with a good melody, like Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Neal Casal, Moody Blues, and others like them. She likes Thai music, as she grew up with it, and trying to understand western music isn't easy for even women like her, who have spoken and understood English for decades. the same with movies I've watched with her.

Thais knowledge of western history is very limited. She knew who Hitler was, but until we watched Schindler's List, she didn't know what was really going on during World War 2. My daughter here likely knows more about western music and movies than most Thai children ever will, and she's only 9.

If you move here, expect the women to not understand western things well, so you either take her for what she is, or find a western woman you can better relate to, as communication is the most important thing a relationship has. The sex is great, but when you get older, the communication and sharing times together is a lot more important.

You either blend in and accept their culture, which includes the music and movies, and watch and listen to western things yourself, hope she understands enough English and wants to learn more about western culture, or spend time with other foreigners and have that western thing with them, and spend time with your women and enjoy her culture together. The future is what you both make of it, and the best means you share each other's interests, or find another you can better relate to.

My main question is this:

Have any Old Men on TV ever made love to the lyrics.....

a. Together we flow like the river

b. And, together we melt like the snow

Or, are most Old Guys just too dried up, by now, to remember what never even happened to them?

I think it would be impossible for me to turn you on to anything really great music.

So, IMHO, you and your GF are pretty much in the same boat....

Neither you nor she might understand what I consider to be great music.

No worries.

Each to their own tastes in almost everything.

No, it would be impossible, as I've already listened to the best the world has to offer all my life. Rock, blues, blues rock, metal, progressive rock, progressive metal, country, country rock, folk, folk rock, jazz, classical, fusion, southern rock, art rock, pop rock, classic rock, acoustic, bluegrass, and neoclassical metal. From the 50's to the present. I'm guessing you will never listen to half of what I already have, and have in cd's now. I'm thinking my 9 year old daughter, along with all of my children, have also heard more good music, in concerts and on the cd players, than you will also.

COCO?: Or, do you far prefer Bar-Girl perfume?
From seeing the headline my mind was already creating an image of a relaxing coconut oil-massage — and then I realised it was a wake up call for some old-fashioned French stuff; it's the parfume I talk about — bar-girls parfume, don't they wear a mix of beer, Tequila "lick-sip-suck", and spicy chili, perhaps also with a bit of smoke-tint...🤔😄

You have no patience for Baroque, since you are mostly all about GUNS and Texas.

When the girls have frequent sex and receive sperm, they are less depressed, which is clinically proven. Apparently their pheromones also become more active. So that smell you are noticing, Gamma, is probably just nature’s way of making men stupidly attracted to them. 😉

In 2002, Gallup, Burch and Platek published “Does Semen Have Antidepressant Properties?” in Archives of Sexual Behavior. They found that sexually active women who reported sex without condoms had lower depression scores than women who consistently used condoms. The authors proposed that substances in semen absorbed might have an antidepressant effect.

Just by seeing the videos you've posted all these years, it shows you are living in the past as far as music is concerned, and likely haven't been up to date and researched anywhere near the amount that I have.

Take your assumptions you've made about me away and there are very few words left in your replies.

There are many who are really into music, and some that make it a huge part of their lives. Not just listening to certain types, but all types and digging into the histories of the bands and where their musicians got their starts, as well as all side projects of those musicians. that's what I've done all my life.

Starting with hearing classical daily in my home from my dad, and R&B on the radio growing up near New York City, one of the biggest hotbeds of music. then onto rock music and from there went as far as I could researching, especially when the internet came around.

I can bet anything I can name 100 bands you've never heard of, seeing again how you post here. I have a few friends that are the same way, always taking about bands from the 70's and 80's, saying all the best music came from there and stopped afterwards. There have been great music coming out since the 80's, up until this year, that many will never hear.

Many in the world will never hear but a fraction of what's out there, even with the internet.

If you do what I do, listening to youtube at night before sleep, and to bands you like, there are suggestions of bands that are like what you are listening to, and from there I look them up.

I have over 50,000 cd's in my home, all of which are bands I know well, and not just burned or purchased to make a collection. All genres with the exception of no rap, hip hop, death metal or too many in the pop category. You would be amazed how much I know about music and what's good or not. By the way, I like Bach, Vivaldi and others in that genre, so that's another assumption you made.

I can fine tolerate them, thanks — otherwise I can just scroll on, which I sometimes do — but on the other hand, it can be quite suffering take a bar-girl to your room, if you only there realize that she is wearing a wrong parfume...😄

I have around 1000 that I haven't yet listened to, and will be bringing 200+ to Texas that are new to listen to while I'm visiting. The rest I've already listened to numerous times since 8-tracks came out, then cassettes then cd's. When we're driving around shopping and hunting and fishing in Texas, I average 10 a day, then I put them into the collection for future listening. If you figure on 250 days minimum a year with 10 a day, that's 2500 a year, along with older ones subtracted making up the other 50+ days in the year. I don't drive without listening to music, and sometimes listen to new ones at home.
