Non Immigrant "o"visa

Featured Replies

Dear Forum Members,

I have a non Immigrant "O" visa and officially moved to Phuket in December 2007. I am still travelling outside Thailand . At least once every three months.

Friends have told me that I have to report to Phuket immigration every 90 days which I have never done so far...I did not know this had to be done.

Within every 90 days I have, however, reported to the immigration because I left the country. In my view I have still complied with the Law because I have passed immigration whenever I left the country.

Here are my two questions:

1) Do I the still have to report to the immigration in Phuket every 90 days despite of the fact that I leave the country within every 90 days period

2) If this is the case, how can I avoid a fine for the period I have not been to immigration so far ?

I left Thailand again two days ago and tried to find an answer from the immigration at Suvarnaphumi airport . When I explained my situation as above, I could not get a clear answer.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

You do not have to report address if staying less than 90 days. A visa entry on a non immigrant O visa does not allow you to stay longer than 90 days.

1. No

2. NA
