Five Days Without Visa

Featured Replies

Question?

I had planned to apply for a new Multiple O visa based on marriage in Singapore in a few weeks time.

However after reading on Tv and also get it confirmed by a telephone call to the Thai Embassy in Singapore its clear that they not issue any multiple O visas.

My existing Multiple O visa expire 4. July. However my last entry was mid May so I’m permitted to stay until August.

However and not visa related I will travel to Singapore 10. July and returning to Thailand 13. July.

Five days later (18) I will travel to Kuala Lumpur and stay until 20. July . Due to the no multiple O visa situation in Singapore I was thinking about extend my stay in Kuala lumpur for a couple of days and apply for a multiple O visa there.

Will the return to Thailand 13. July be a problem without a visa.? I come from one of the 30 days Visa exempted Countries but have never used that option before!

I have already tickets to both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Thanks & Regards

You can apply for a re-entry permit (single or multiple) at the airport...bring a photo!

Better at your local immigration office, to avoid any unforeseen delays at the airport.

A re-entry Permit would be valid until your current

permitted to stay until date - which you said is in August.

Can I do this with a Multiple O Visa? I thought re-entry permit was only for 1 year extension!

I mean the Visa is valid only until 4. July.

I thought the Visa then was void and that I had to get a new visa, whatever permitted to stay date I have in my passport!

Well good news and the boys in brown need only a photo!

BTW, how much do it cost!

Thanks :o

1,000 Baht for a single. 3,800 for a multi.

Will keep you permission to stay till August alive.

Why? If you plan to obtain a new multi entry visa in KL the next week you do not need or want a re-entry permit. Just return for a 30 day visa exempt stamp from Singapore (you have tickets out within 30 days so no problem). Extend you stay in KL long enough to obtain your new visa and then return using that.

Initially I was thinking that way. But with a passport with only Non O visas to suddenly no visa is not that to set myself up for potential uncomfortable questions if the officer in charge have a bad day!

I mean one week Non-immigrant, the next tourist..... :o

It is absolutely no problem. People change status all the time.
