I have a laptop Toshiba/Europe S1400-503, while using it, suddenly the screen fade away and went completely black.

I disconnected it and reconnected but still the same : black is black!!

Any idea what it can be please and how much will be the eventually costs.

First you need to check it's the Monitor which is going bad. Just try to connect the Laptop to an normal Monitor. If that work, than the Laptop Monitor has a problem, otherwise the Laptop itself.
