I'm referring to those 10-year old models. The cars are going for 200K - 300K. Any problem with servicing and spare parts ?

The Rover is technically a Honda Accord. So there is no problem with servicing and parts at all. Engine is the same and many body parts are simular. The Rover is just nicer and have a better interios (higher standard) than a Honda, so why pay more for the Hona Accord?

The Audi A4 is easy for parts. It's depend what model you choice. They have 1.8 liter or 2.4 liter engines. The 2.4 liter is a V6 and much smoother and have plenty of power in compare with the 1.8 liter model. But the 1.8 liter is maybe more fuel efficient. Don't buy a Turbo version, they like to get overheated. 2.4 liter is a more upmarket car. You feel it if you ever drive one. Can't compare with the 1.8 liter. But parts are more expensive. If you buy one, make sure the automtic transmission is ok, because it's hard to get a second hand one for this model. for the 1.8 liter model is no problem to get a used automactic transmission. Another choice, i recommend, is a Audy A6, a early one with the 5 cylinder 2.3 liter engine of the 100 model. those engines are "bulled proof", they built those engines for many years. What i like is the instrument panel. you'll find a oil pressure gauge and a oil temperature gauge, and a real volt meter. So you have much better control of your engine. No japanese cars ever have a oil temperature and a volt meter. For example a alternator can be faulty (faulty internal diode), but your alternator light doesn't show. but with a volt meter you see allways how much the battery get charged. the 2.3 liter model is much more easy to maintenance than the 2.4 liter model. If you open the enginehood of a 2.4 liter, you'll know what i mean. if you have to change the waterpump for example you have to remove the whole body front. There is not enought space to work on it. But on the 2.3 liter is enought room, much more easy to maintenance. I would choice Audy, because the engine is straight fitted in the engine bay, wich mean your engine mounts and drive shaft joints not get damaged easly in compare with the normal front wheel drive vehicles. I have an AUdi A6 2.4 V6. with LPG kit fitted. Why you want one??

Its high maintenance. Not so much for parts etc but more for fuel in running it. Even with LPG, its a sucker. Yes they are available cheap but not many want to get rid of it simply cause its a nice car and too low a value if sold.

As far as I know, none of the big NGV installers would do an NGV kit for a Audi. Why? I don't know. They simply say not doable and lots of problems. Mi pen ha yerk. Mai aww.

Go for the rover instead.

Well i just checked around and Rover 623s of around year 1996 seem to go for around 300k. That's probably between 30 and 50k cheaper than a similar Accord.

The problem with the Rover though is that if you ever want to sell it, you'll have a he_l of a job unless you are prepared to sell for peanuts. The Honda on the other hand will hold its value well.

Interesting too. Now if it was the legendary Honda 2.3 VTEC engine, that really would make me stand up and take notice!
