June 30, 200818 yr Hi All, Anyone living local to Udon, Loei or Kon Ken have job ideas for my a thai female friend. I realise its quite a sticking point, however her family werent wealthy enough to support her through university so ended up working in sales/retail for 3 years (until I met her..) She has returned to Loei (stunning province ) , but has since struggled to find anywhere to employ her. I checked the job section and this doesnt give anything much of use for Thai nationals. She will work for a low wage, thats not so important - keeping herself busy and engaged is more our focus at the moment She speaks good English, Laos & Thai - so could fit into any Issan enviroment smoothly - anyone have any ideas/vacancies? Thankyou in advance. Lee Edited June 30, 200818 yr by Leed

Thankyou in advance. Lee Try applying at Hotels that cater to "Farangs". I would think that her Englsih speaking skills would be a valuable assett in this occupation. I would apply even if no advertisements were in the news papers. Also, perhaps some real estate office might find her skills suitable. Edited July 2, 200818 yr by philliphn
July 2, 200818 yr Having lived in the Khon Kaen area for the last 6+ years, I can tell you that anyone (Thai) who says that they can not find "a job" is either lazy, not looking or scamming you... Almost any place of decent size is constantly looking for new people.... The Thai mentality towards jobs is such that other than Goverment Jobs, people are changing jobs constantly, at least the younger (18 to 25 year olds) ones... The rate of pay is extremely low (4,000 to 5,000 baht per month) but there are lots of available jobs... Unlike the western world they are not advertised, the person needs to go out and ask... Ask people on the street, ask at every business possible, ask friends, ect... Pianoman
July 3, 200818 yr Dieter, of Dieter's Rauch Kate Restaurant in Udon, 081-263-9011, is always looking for reliable, good help. Especially someone with good English skills. Pay would be commensurate with her English skills. Plus, Dieter is a master baker and world class chef, and he is always looking for someone to teach his craft to, so he can have a competent assistant. The trouble he has, is that the majority of Thai's, are not willing to do what it takes, to get ahead in life and make a success of themselves. IMO. Edited July 3, 200818 yr by maxjay
